Lead Pastor (she/her)

Pastor Michelle is a commissioned Elder who has served Mission Hills UMC since July 1, 2022. She comes with 20+ years of ministry experience, including three years as the Associate Pastor at Valencia UMC where she led in areas including worship, discipleship, pastoral care, and missions. She graduated from Claremont School of Theology in 2020 with a Master Degree in Ministerial Leadership. Pastor Michelle and her husband Mike, who is a USPS letter carrier, have been married for nearly 30 years and have two young-adult daughters, Megan and Katie. Pastor Michelle is passionate about worship that engages people’s hearts and minds, helping others to develop a deepening faith and discipleship through small groups and service, and finding ways to make a meaningful difference in the community. She enjoys reading, time with family and friends, and spending time outside.

Rev. Jeanette Bragunier

Associate Minister, Minister of Families and Children (she/her)

Rev. Jeanette (she/her) is an ordained Deacon and a commissioned UM “Earthkeeper.” She has joyfully served over the last 15 years in the areas of families and children's ministry, small group ministry, pastoral care, and served congregations at Foothills UMC and St. Marks UMC. Prior to ministry, she worked in the PR/Marketing field, and as a manager in the cellular industry. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Northern Arizona University and a Masters in Christian Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary. She is passionate about building healthy teams and community and has certificates in Total Quality Management Facilitation and Public Dialogue from the Public Conversations Project. She is married to Charlie and mom to college students, Bella, Austin and their dog, Cici. Her favorite things - spending time with friends/family, music, nature, exploring new places and serving together.

Christine Huard

Office Manager (she/her)

With a background in journalism and communications, Christine brings a variety of experience to the role of office manager. Prior to joining the staff at Mission Hills United Methodist Church, she worked for the San Diego Union-Tribune and the Times of San Diego, and contracted with small local school districts to provide communications services through her own consulting business, Huard and Associates. She is married to Ernie, a retired educator, and grandma to Rose. She is adjusting to life as a grieving mom, having lost her son, Josh, in 2022. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and learning new things
